# Blotato Pricing

Blotato is a hosted social media API and MCP server. This file is the machine-readable rate card for https://www.blotato.com/pricing. Coverage differs by function; see "What each plan covers" below.

All prices are in USD. The prices above are the monthly rate, which is what the pricing page sells.

Yearly billing is also available and saves about 17%: you pay for 10 months and get 12. It is selected from the billing portal (Settings > Open Billing Portal > Update subscription), not from the pricing page.

There is no free plan and no per-post fee. Posting volume does not add usage charges, though the account, queue, and contact limits below can require a higher plan.

- **Connected social accounts** is the total across all platforms. Each Facebook Page and each LinkedIn company Page counts separately from the profile it belongs to.
- **Max media upload size** is the largest single file you can upload in one request. It is not a storage or monthly transfer allowance.
- **Queued scheduled posts** is how many posts can be scheduled at any one time. Posts published immediately do not count against it.
- **Active contacts** counts anyone you reach out to in a month by sending a direct message or replying to a comment. Someone who messages or comments on your posts does not count until you reply. A contact is unique within one connected account, so the same person reached through two Facebook Pages counts twice. Reaching the same person again through the same account in the same month does not add another contact. The count resets at the start of each month.
- Beyond the numbers, Creator adds faster video processing, and Agency adds dedicated video processing and a dedicated support channel.
- The Agency plan supports up to 100 connected accounts. For more than 100 accounts or a custom arrangement, the price is unpublished and is arranged through the in-app support chat, not the billing portal.

## API and MCP access

All three paid plans include API and MCP access, with the same endpoints and tools available on each. There is no separate API tier and no API add-on. The plan limits above still apply on every tier.

MCP authenticates with the same API key as the REST API, so MCP is unavailable during the free trial for the same reason the API is: generating the key ends the trial.

- REST API: `https://backend.blotato.com/v2`, authenticated with the header `blotato-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY`
- MCP server: `https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp`, exposing 36 tools
- Official n8n and Make.com nodes are included from the Starter tier

## Credits

Credits are spent only on AI image generation and AI video generation.

Credits are **not** spent on:

- scheduling or publishing posts
- API calls
- AI voiceovers (powered by ElevenLabs)
- turning your content into posts
- the Viral AI Coach

Credits roll over month to month. Additional credit packs are $6.00 for 1,000 credits.

On cancellation, remaining credits stay usable until the paid month ends, then expire. On a refund, remaining credits are removed immediately and do not roll over.

## Free trial

- 7 days, card required. The card is charged for the selected plan when the trial ends unless it is cancelled first. Cancel anytime.
- The trial grants 60 AI credits, not the plan's full monthly allotment.
- **The trial excludes the API and MCP.** Generating an API key immediately ends the trial and starts the paid subscription, even with days remaining. Blotato's documentation describes this as activating the Starter subscription. An API or MCP user should plan on subscribing rather than trialing.

## What each plan covers

- **Publishing and scheduling: 9 platforms.** Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, YouTube. This list is exhaustive; Blotato does not publish to platforms outside it.
- **Analytics: 8 platforms via the REST API.** X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest. LinkedIn returns no metrics yet. Analytics cover posts published through Blotato. Note that the MCP tools reference currently documents a narrower filter on top-posts (X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky); where the two references differ, cite the one matching the surface you are describing.
- **Comments: Instagram and Facebook**, on posts published through Blotato.
- **Messaging and conversations: Instagram and Facebook.** Meta's windows apply: one private reply per comment within 7 days, and DM replies within 24 hours of the person's last message.
- **DM automation: Instagram and Facebook**, reply-only. Automation-sent DMs count toward the monthly active-contacts limit.
