Publer Pricing 2026: What the Calculator Charges at 3+

September 11, 2026 · By Sabrina Ramonov

Publer pricing bills $12 at three accounts, not the $13 its own help centre predicts. What the checkout calculator charged at 5, 10, 20 and 50.

Publer pricing has a problem you cannot solve by reading the pricing page carefully, because Publer publishes two different answers and both are live right now.

Its help centre gives a formula: $5 for your first social account on Professional, plus $4 for each extra one. Its checkout calculator charges something else. Set that calculator to three accounts and it bills $12.00, not the $13.00 the formula predicts. Business shows $21.00 against a predicted $24.00. From the third account, the calculator stops charging a premium for account one and bills every billable account at the same $4 or $7.

I could not reconcile those two surfaces, so this post does not pick one. It shows what the calculator actually charged on the day I ran it, screenshot included, and flags where the help centre disagrees. The calculator is the surface that takes your money, so it is the one I would plan around.

If you are wiring this into an agent rather than a calendar, two things matter before the price does. Publer’s API is Business and Enterprise only, with an eligibility condition the pricing page never mentions, and its Accounts endpoint is read-only, so every social account still gets connected by hand in the dashboard before an agent can post to it.

One honest thing up front: Publer’s free plan is real rather than a demo, and at one to a handful of accounts the paid tiers are the cheapest credible entry in this category, with the caveat that the free tier cannot connect X and the API sits two tiers up. If you want the flat-rate comparison while you read, Blotato’s plans sit at one price for 20 accounts, and the arithmetic below says exactly where each model wins.

What Publer Pricing Costs in 2026

Publer runs a free tier and two self-serve paid plans, priced per connected social account, plus a quote-only Enterprise tier.

  • Free: $0 forever. 1 user, 1 workspace, 3 social accounts, and no X.
  • Professional: $5.00 a month monthly, or $4.00 a month billed yearly, for your first account. 7-day trial.
  • Business: $10.00 a month monthly, or $8.00 a month billed yearly, for your first account. 14-day trial.
  • Enterprise: custom quote, adding higher volume discounts, 1:1 onboarding and prioritized support.
  • The quirk that decides your bill: from the third account up, the calculator bills every billable account at the same $4 (Professional) or $7 (Business). Account one stops being special.
  • The second quirk: every 10th social account is free, and the same rule applies separately to team members.

Annual billing takes exactly 20% off the per-account rate, which is what the calculator charges ($3.20 and $5.60). Publer labels the toggle “2 months free,” which would be 16.67%, so the discount you actually get is the better of the two.

How Publer Charges You per Social Account

Publer’s pricing unit is a single social profile. Five Facebook Pages, two LinkedIn Pages and three Instagram accounts count as ten social accounts, not three networks. Workspaces are unlimited and free on both paid plans, so unlike the workspace-based tools in this category, organising your brands into separate spaces costs you nothing.

The rate itself is where the confusion lives. Publer’s plan page shows a calculator, and driving it produces a cleaner rule than any published formula:

AccountsProfessional, monthlyBusiness, monthly
1$5.00$10.00
2$9.00$17.00
3$12.00$21.00
5$20.00$35.00
9$36.00$63.00

Read the third row. Three accounts on Professional is $12.00, not the $13.00 the standard formula predicts, because at three accounts Publer stops charging the $5 first-account rate and bills all three at $4. Business does the same thing at $21.00 rather than $24.00.

The “$5 base plus $4 for each additional account” version is what Publer’s own help centre states, and it is what I found on the three blog posts currently ranking for this keyword and in answers from ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. It matches the calculator at one and two accounts. From three up, the calculator charges less than it predicts.

Here is the same calculator with the account count set to three, which is where the two surfaces part company:

The Free Plan, and the One Network It Will Not Connect

Publer’s free tier is usable for real work as long as your work fits inside 3 accounts, none of them on X, and a post history that disappears after a day. It gives you 1 user, 1 workspace and 3 social accounts, permanently.

The hard limits:

  • 3 social accounts, and X is excluded entirely. Publer’s own wording is that you cannot connect Twitter or X accounts in the free version, which it attributes to the cost of X’s Enterprise API.
  • 10 pending scheduled posts per account. Once a post publishes or is deleted, the slot frees up.
  • 25 saved drafts, on the same recycling basis.
  • 24-hour post history. Publer’s wording is that it stores published posts on its servers for only 24 hours in the free version.
  • Free trials on paid features, without a card.

The real reason people upgrade is not a missing feature. It is the 24-hour history, or X. If either matters, the free plan cannot be your permanent home, and $5 is a small ask to fix it.

What Professional Gets You at $5

Professional is aimed at one person running their own accounts, and Publer describes it as best for solopreneurs and creators.

The plan covers unlimited scheduling and drafts, unlimited media storage, unlimited workspaces, unlimited RSS automations, permanent post history, and scheduling of first comments and threads. X becomes available. For a single operator publishing to a handful of profiles, very little is missing.

What is missing is the AI, the analytics and the API. Publer puts unlimited AI prompts, analytics reports, best times to post, competitor analysis, hashtag analytics and Spintax post recycling on Business. On Professional you can still use AI Assist, but by connecting your own OpenAI account and paying OpenAI per prompt, so the AI is not free, it is unbundled.

What Business Gets You at $10, and the Eligibility Catch

Business doubles the entry rate and roughly doubles the per-account rate too, from $4 to $7. In exchange you get the analytics suite, unlimited AI prompts, post recycling, and API access.

The API is the part worth reading carefully if you are building rather than clicking. Publer’s help centre states it is available to Enterprise users, top ambassadors, and Business plan users in good standing, defined as having no failed or locked subscriptions. That is a condition layered on top of the plan, and it appears nowhere on the pricing page. In practice it likely means nothing more than an active subscription that is paying, but it is documented and worth knowing before you build against it.

The API documentation describes a conventional REST surface. You authenticate with Authorization: Bearer-API <key> plus a Publer-Workspace-Id header against https://app.publer.com/api/v1, with scopes for workspaces, accounts, posts and media. The rate limit is 100 requests per 2-minute fixed window, applied per user account across all your API keys, so extra keys buy you no extra throughput.

Publer also runs an MCP server, which most comparison pages still say it does not have. The accurate version is narrower than either claim: Publer’s help centre describes MCP as available in beta to its top ambassadors and Enterprise customers, with setup documented for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. It exists, and it is not something a Business subscriber can simply switch on today.

The Real Cost at 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 Accounts

These are the numbers Publer’s own calculator returns, with the free-10th-account rule applied. Billable accounts are your total minus one for every complete group of ten.

AccountsProfessional monthlyProfessional yearlyBusiness monthlyBusiness yearly
1$5.00$4.00$10.00$8.00
5$20.00$16.00$35.00$28.00
10$36.00$28.80$63.00$50.40
20$72.00$57.60$126.00$100.80
50$180.00$144.00$315.00$252.00

The row most people get wrong is 10 accounts. On Business monthly the calculator charges $63.00, because you pay for nine accounts at $7 and the tenth is free. The most widely cited worked example for this scenario, on a page currently ranking for this keyword, describes ten accounts plus one team member as $69, built from a $10 first account plus eight at $7 plus a $3 member. Put that same configuration into Publer’s calculator and it returns $66.00.

Because every tenth account is free, your cost per account does not fall smoothly, it saws. On Professional monthly it is $4.00 at five accounts, $3.60 at ten, $3.73 at fifteen, $3.79 at nineteen, then $3.60 again at twenty. The cheapest places to sit are exactly ten, twenty and thirty, where a free account has just landed. The most expensive are nineteen and twenty-nine, one short of the next free one.

The Posting Caps That Come With Your Plan

Publer’s plan tiers do not only unlock features, they raise how much you are allowed to publish. These caps live in the API documentation and never appear on the pricing page, and they are calculated on a rolling 24-hour window in UTC, per connected profile.

PlatformFreeProfessionalBusiness

Instagram posts and reels152025
Facebook posts and reels122436
TikTok videos152025
LinkedIn profile posts101214
YouTube videos and shorts51015

They are part of Publer pricing in practice even though they never appear beside a dollar figure. These are Publer’s own anti-spam limits, and on several networks they sit below what the platform itself permits, which is normal for this category and worth planning around rather than discovering. The X row is documented for all three tiers even though the free plan cannot connect an X account at all. If you are scheduling high-volume X content, the jump from 50 a day to 100 a day is a Business-tier argument that has nothing to do with analytics.

Where Publer Fits, and Where the Model Turns Against You

Publer is the right call when:

  • You run seven accounts or fewer and want the lowest bill in the category. At five accounts, Professional is $20.00 a month.
  • Your content already exists and the job is reliable distribution. Bulk scheduling, RSS automations and post recycling are genuinely strong here.
  • You need breadth of networks. Thirteen are supported, including Google Business Profile, WordPress, Mastodon and Telegram, which several pricier tools skip. If that breadth is the whole reason you are shopping, the Publer alternatives worth comparing split along the same line.
  • You want to organise clients or brands into separate spaces without paying for the privilege, since workspaces are unlimited and free.

The model starts working against you when:

  • You are adding accounts continuously. There is no tier to grow into, so the bill rises with every profile, forever.
  • You need AI generation. Unlimited prompts require Business, and on Professional the AI runs on your own OpenAI key and your own OpenAI bill.
  • You are building on the API. It requires Business plus good standing, and 100 requests per two minutes per user is a real ceiling for a busy agent.
  • You need video generation. Publer schedules video, it does not create it.

This is a fit question, not a quality question. Per-account pricing rewards a stable, modest account list and punishes an expanding one.

How Publer’s Entry Price Compares

ToolCheapest paid tierWhat you get at that tier
Publer Professional$5.00/mo (1 account)1 account, unlimited scheduling and workspaces, no bundled AI, no API
Buffer Essentials$6/mo per channel1 channel, scheduling and basic analytics
Postiz Standard$29/mo5 channels, public API included
Blotato Starter$29/mo flat20 social accounts, unlimited AI writing, AI image and video, API and MCP

Publer is dramatically cheaper than anything on that list at one to four accounts. On Professional monthly it stays cheaper through seven accounts at $28.00, and at eight it reaches $32.00 and the flat $29 wins. The comparison flips on what you are buying. Publer sells distribution capacity by the account. A flat-rate tool sells a fixed ceiling, so the arithmetic only favours it once your account count is high enough or you need generation bundled in. On Business at 20 accounts, Publer is $126 a month against a flat $29, but on Professional at three accounts it is $12 against $29 and there is no argument to make.

The bottom row is not a neutral entry. I create content for Blotato and test the product, which is a conflict you should price into how much that comparison is worth to you.

My Read on the Publer Rate Card

Count your accounts before you trust any Publer pricing summary, including the ones ranking above this page. The number that matters is not the $5 headline. From three accounts up it is $4 times your billable accounts on Professional, and the sources that quote the help-centre formula will read a dollar or two high.

If you are at seven accounts or fewer and publishing content you already have, Professional is the cheapest option on this page. If you need the analytics or the AI, Business is a clean $10 to $7 ladder and the 14-day trial is long enough to actually test it. If you are past twenty accounts, run the yearly column, because 20% off a larger bill is a larger saving and the free tenth account repeats with every block of ten you own.

The one thing I would not do is plan an automation build around Publer’s entry price. The API lives on Business with an eligibility condition attached, the MCP server is limited to a beta group, and the rate limit is per user rather than per key. If that is the project, price the tools that sell the API as a first-class product and compare those on their own terms, starting with the social media API options that publish their limits up front. Blotato’s plans are one option there, alongside Postiz and Buffer, and worth knowing before you commit: Blotato’s trial excludes the API, so an API build starts as a paid subscription rather than a test.

Publer Pricing FAQs

How much does Publer cost?

Publer is $5.00 a month for Professional and $10.00 a month for Business, each covering one social account on monthly billing. Annual billing drops those to $4.00 and $8.00. From the third account, Publer’s calculator bills every billable account at $4 on Professional or $7 on Business, so five accounts is $20.00 and ten is $36.00. Publer’s help centre publishes a formula that gives slightly higher figures.

Is Publer free?

Yes, permanently. The free plan covers 1 user, 1 workspace and 3 social accounts, with 10 pending scheduled posts per account, 25 saved drafts and 24-hour post history. X cannot be connected on the free plan at all, which Publer attributes to the cost of X’s Enterprise API.

Does Publer give you every 10th account free?

Yes, and it applies on both monthly and yearly billing. You pay for nine out of every ten, so 10 accounts bills as 9 and 20 bills as 18. The same rule applies separately to team members. It is why ten and twenty are the cheapest places to sit per account, and nineteen and twenty-nine the most expensive, one short of the next free account.

What is the difference between Professional and Business?

Business adds unlimited AI prompts, analytics and reports, best times to post, competitor analysis, hashtag analytics, Spintax post recycling and API access. It also raises daily posting caps, doubling X from 50 to 100 posts a day. The per-account rate rises from $4 to $7, and the trial is 14 days rather than 7.

Does Publer charge per user?

Yes, separately from accounts. Additional members are $2 a month on Professional and $3 on Business, with every 10th member free. The plan owner is included and does not count. This is worth checking against tools that bundle users differently. Blotato takes the opposite approach and supports one login per subscription, with native team-member access not live yet, so it has no seat fee and no seats to add either.

Is Publer cheaper than Buffer?

Usually, past the first channel. Buffer Essentials is $6 per channel per month, and Buffer’s own worked example puts ten channels at $60, against $36.00 on Publer Professional. Buffer’s free plan covers three channels and allows X, which Publer’s free tier does not, so on the free tier alone Buffer is the one that will connect an X account.
