Blotato vs Agorapulse: do you need a team social inbox, or just create-and-publish? See which is better value for solo creators in 2026.

Blotato vs Agorapulse is a strange comparison the moment you look at what each tool is actually built around. One is built to run a shared inbox for a team that answers customer messages all day. The other is built to create posts and put them everywhere.

So before you compare prices, you have to ask a more useful question. Do you need a social inbox several people work at once, or do you just need to make content and publish it?

Your answer decides everything. It decides which tool fits, and it decides whether you are about to overpay for a feature you will never open.

Blotato vs Agorapulse: At a Glance

Agorapulse is the better pick if: You run social for a team or agency where two or more people share one inbox, route messages to each other, and need approval workflows and ROI reports for clients.

Blotato is the better pick if: You are a solo creator or small operator who wants to create posts, AI images, and faceless video, then publish to nine platforms on a flat rate without paying per seat.

The Calendar Is the Only Real Overlap

They overlap on the calendar and nowhere else that matters.

Agorapulse is a social media management platform. Its center of gravity is the unified inbox: comments, DMs, mentions, reviews, and ad comments from every connected profile, pulled into one queue that a team works together. Publishing and reporting sit around that core.

Blotato starts from a different place. It is a creation engine that also schedules. You generate the post, the image, and the faceless video inside one tool, then push it out to your accounts. The inbox is not the point. The output is.

That difference is the whole comparison. If your day is answering people, Agorapulse is shaped for you. If your day is making things, Blotato is.

Teams That Live in a Shared Social Inbox

Agorapulse was founded in 2010 in Paris, and it has spent fifteen years getting very good at one thing: helping teams manage conversations at scale. You can read their pitch on the Agorapulse homepage, and it is honest about who it serves. This is software for marketing agencies and mid-size in-house teams.

The flagship is the social inbox. Every comment, message, mention, and ad comment lands in one place. You assign items to teammates, leave internal notes, apply labels, set saved replies, and build moderation rules that hide spam automatically. For a support queue three people work, this is genuinely good.

Reviews back this up. Agorapulse holds a strong rating on G2, where users praise the inbox and the clean approval flow on higher plans. Sentiment on Trustpilot is more polarized, but the recurring compliment is the same: it does team conversation management reliably.

Every plan covers ten social profiles, unlimited scheduling, and the inbox. The reporting gets deeper as you climb, topping out with ROI analysis and competitor benchmarking on the Advanced tier.

Creators With No Inbox to Staff

I am involved with Blotato as a creator and tester, so take this with whatever grain of salt feels right.

I have tested just about every social tool that exists, and I keep coming back to Blotato for one reason. It removes the part of the job I hate, which is making the content in the first place. I write a post, generate an image, spin up a faceless video with a voiceover, and schedule all of it without leaving the app.

Blotato is built for solo creators, faceless operators, and small teams who publish a lot and answer comments in their phone’s native apps. It posts to nine platforms: X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, and Bluesky. The pricing is flat, so adding accounts or teammates does not change the bill.

The other reason I stay is the automation. Blotato has native n8n and Make nodes plus an MCP server for Claude, so your AI agent can publish on its own. That matters more every month, and I will come back to it.

The table makes the split obvious. Agorapulse wins everything to do with managing a team and a conversation queue. Blotato wins everything to do with creating content and automating the publish.

The Best Unified Inbox in This Comparison

I want to be fair here, because Agorapulse is a good tool that does real work. These are the places it clearly beats Blotato.

The unified inbox is the best in this comparison. Blotato’s inbox covers Instagram and Facebook only. If you need several people working one queue of comments and DMs across every network, Agorapulse is the right answer and it is not close.

Approval workflows for client work. On the Advanced tier you get multi-step approvals, shared content calendars, and team assignments. An agency posting on behalf of clients needs this, the same way it needs the enterprise reporting you see in tools like Sprout Social. Blotato does not offer it.

Deeper reporting and ROI analysis. Agorapulse’s reporting builds custom reports, schedules them to email, and ties social activity to ROI. Blotato’s analytics are lighter. For a team that has to prove value to a client, this is a real gap.

One more platform, plus Google Business. Agorapulse connects 10 networks to Blotato’s 9, including Google Business Profile, which matters for local and retail brands. If a Google Business presence is core to your work, that is worth noting. Note that X is one of those 10 but requires a paid add-on to connect, at $29 or $69 per X profile per month.

Fifteen years of polish. Agorapulse has been refining team conversation management since 2010. The moderation rules, saved replies, and ad comment syncing are mature. Longevity is not the whole story, but it is a real advantage.

Creation Inside the Tool, Not Upstream of It

Creation from a prompt, not just from a source file. Agorapulse has closed part of this gap with Archie, its AI creation studio, which generates images and clips videos on all plan types. The difference now is the starting point: Archie always begins from an asset you upload, while Blotato generates from a prompt, with AI writing trained on viral posts, AI image generation, and faceless AI video with ElevenLabs voiceovers built in. If you have a library to repurpose, Archie may be all you need.

Flat pricing that does not punish growth. Agorapulse bills per user and bundles ten profiles, with extra profiles at $10 each on annual billing or $15 on monthly. Those ten are shared across the whole account, so a second seat adds a login and no profiles. Blotato is $29 a month flat for 20 accounts. Add a client account to Blotato and the price holds, though adding a teammate is not something Blotato supports at all: it is one user per account. Do the same on Agorapulse and the meter runs, on both lines. My Agorapulse pricing breakdown works that math out at 10, 20 and 50 profiles.

Native automation for AI agents. Blotato ships native n8n and Make nodes and a self-serve MCP server, so a Claude agent can draft and publish without you in the loop. It is one of the few social media automation tools built for AI agents from the ground up. Agorapulse does list MCP integration, but its API sits behind the enterprise Custom tier and there is no native n8n or Make node. For builders, that difference is the whole game.

The faceless video pipeline. If you run faceless channels, Blotato generates the script, the voiceover, and the video, then schedules it. Archie clips existing long videos into short form, which is a different job: it needs footage to cut, where the faceless pipeline starts from nothing but a topic.

Per-User Pricing Meets a Flat Rate as Headcount Grows

Here is where the two tools separate hardest. Agorapulse prices per user, so cost scales with your headcount. Blotato is flat.

Plan tierAgorapulseBlotato
Entry$79/user/mo (Standard, 10 profiles)$29/mo flat (Starter, 20 accounts)
Mid$119/user/mo (Professional)$97/mo flat (Creator, 40 accounts)
Top$149/user/mo (Advanced)$499/mo flat (Agency)
TrialNo card. 15 days per the help centre, 30 per the pricing page7-day free trial, cancel anytime

Now the entry-tier value, capability by capability:

Capability at the entry tierAgorapulse Standard ($79/user/mo)Blotato Starter ($29/mo)
Social accounts10 profiles, 1 user20 total
AI text writingYes (caption assist)Unlimited
AI image generationArchie (beta, all plans)Included (uses credits)
AI videoClips your existing video (Archie, beta)Faceless video generated from a prompt (uses credits)
REST API plus n8n/Make/MCPNo (API is Custom tier)Included
Unified social inboxYesInstagram and Facebook only

Blotato’s Starter costs $50 a month less than one Agorapulse seat, and the self-serve REST API sits on Agorapulse’s Custom plan and there is no native n8n or Make node, though its hosted MCP connector is on every paid tier. On creation the gap has narrowed rather than closed: Archie generates images and clips videos on every Agorapulse plan, but always from a source file you provide, where Blotato generates from a prompt and produces faceless video end to end. That is the price-to-value argument in one table.

The per-user model is where it really adds up. A three-person agency on Agorapulse Standard pays roughly $237 a month before a single extra profile. A six-person team is near $474. Blotato Starter stays $29 no matter how many people log in. You can see the flat tiers on the Blotato pricing page.

Blotato's pricing page showing Starter at $29, Creator at $97, and Agency at $499, all flat rate.

Now the honest caveats, because the math does not always favor Blotato.

If you need a real shared inbox, Agorapulse is worth its price and Blotato does not compete on it. Ours stops at Instagram and Facebook with no one to route a message to. The inbox is the product.

If you run client reporting, Agorapulse’s ROI analysis and scheduled reports earn the higher tiers. Blotato’s lighter analytics will not cut it for an agency that bills on results.

And if your creation need is repurposing rather than originating, Archie covers it on every Agorapulse plan, so the creation gap that used to decide this comparison may not decide yours. The inbox might be all you actually want.

Signs You Should Be Buying Agorapulse

  • You have a team of two or more sharing one social inbox.
  • You manage social for clients and need approval workflows.
  • ROI reporting and competitor benchmarking are part of your job.
  • Answering comments, DMs, and reviews is most of your day.
  • A Google Business Profile is central to your brand.

Is Anyone Else Touching Your Calendar?

  • You are a solo creator or small operator who publishes a lot.
  • You want AI writing, images, and faceless video in one tool.
  • You want flat pricing that does not climb as you add accounts.
  • You want a Claude agent or an n8n flow to publish for you.
  • Your comments and DMs are fine to handle in the native apps.

Two Tools, Two Different People

If neither of these is the shape you want, there are other Agorapulse alternatives worth counting on a different meter. These tools are not really fighting over the same person. Agorapulse is built for a team that lives in a shared inbox, and at that job it is excellent and worth the price. Blotato is built for a creator who needs to make content fast and get it everywhere without paying per seat.

The trap is paying for the inbox when you are a team of one. Your native DMs already handle that volume, so that flagship feature is the part you would overpay for.

If you are still unsure, my honest advice is to start Agorapulse’s trial if you have a team and a real conversation queue, and try the Blotato 7-day trial if you are flying solo and want AI to take the creating off your plate. Budget 15 days for the Agorapulse run rather than 30: its pricing page advertises 30 days, while its help centre describes 15 days of Advanced that you may extend once.

FAQs

Is Blotato cheaper than Agorapulse?

Yes, at almost every realistic team size. Blotato Starter is $29 a month flat for 20 accounts. Agorapulse starts at $79 per user per month for 10 profiles, so a single seat already costs more, and the gap widens fast once you add people. The only case where Agorapulse value wins is when you genuinely need its shared inbox.

Does Agorapulse have AI video generation?

Not from a prompt, but this changed in 2026 and most comparisons are stale on it. Agorapulse now ships Archie, an AI creation studio available on all plan types, which generates AI images and clips long videos into Reels and LinkedIn videos. Archie is in beta, always starts from a source file you upload rather than a blank prompt, and targets LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Blotato includes AI image generation and faceless AI video with ElevenLabs voiceovers built in, which is the biggest creation gap between the two.

Can I use Agorapulse with n8n or Make.com?

Not natively. Agorapulse ships no n8n or Make node, and its REST API sits on the enterprise Custom plan. Its hosted MCP connector is a separate thing and is available on every paid plan, though the help centre calls it beta. Blotato ships native nodes for both n8n and Make plus a self-serve MCP server for Claude on paid plans.

Does Blotato have a free plan?

No. Blotato offers a 7-day free trial on every plan, and you cancel anytime. There is no permanent free tier. Agorapulse offers a longer trial with no card required, though its own pages disagree on the length: the pricing page says 30 days while the help centre says 15 days of the Advanced plan, extendable once by another 15. It also has no permanent free plan on its live pricing page.

Which tool supports more social platforms?

Agorapulse connects 10 networks, including Google Business Profile, to Blotato’s 9. If a Google Business presence is core to your work, that edge matters. One caveat on that count: X is on Agorapulse’s list but needs a paid add-on to connect, at $29 or $69 per X profile per month. For most creators the nine platforms Blotato covers are the ones that drive reach, so the count rarely decides it.

Is Agorapulse or Blotato better for agencies?

Agorapulse, in most cases. Agencies need shared inboxes, approval workflows, and client ROI reporting, and Agorapulse is built around exactly that. Blotato fits a small agency that mostly produces and schedules high volumes of content and handles engagement in the native apps. Match the tool to whether your work is conversations or creation.

Can Blotato replace Agorapulse’s shared inbox?

Not for most teams, and this is the honest limit on our side of the comparison. Blotato reads and replies to comments and DMs on Instagram and Facebook only, so if your queue includes X, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube, Agorapulse is covering inboxes we do not reach. Blotato also has no message routing, no assignment and no approval layer, so a queue that several people work together on is a workflow Blotato does not support at any tier.
